Maybe it’s a senior on a fixed income, a single parent juggling everything, a veteran, or a neighbor who always shows up for others — but now needs support themselves.
Nominate a deserving individual or family for a chance to receive complimentary electrical services through the Coharbor Cares program.
The Neighbors Who Shine campaign is part of our ongoing Coharbor Cares initiative — designed to spotlight everyday heroes in our community.
Each spring, we select one local neighbor whose story inspires us and whose home could benefit from professional electrical improvements. Whether it’s addressing safety concerns, upgrading outdated wiring, improving lighting, or restoring peace of mind, we’re here to help.
This campaign allows our community to share powerful stories, lift someone up, and remind Southwest Florida that we’re stronger when we support one another.

✅ A family experiencing financial difficulty
✅ Someone living with medical or mobility challenges

Recipient Selection
Our internal team reviews submissions and selects one Neighbor Who Shines recipient based on need, impact, and story.
Project Completion
Coharbor Electric completes the agreed-upon electrical work and documents the transformation.
Story Published
We share the full story on our blog and social media — celebrating this year’s Neighbor Who Shines.
Submit the story of someone in Southwest Florida who could benefit from electrical assistance. Tell us why they deserve recognition and how improvements to their home could make a meaningful difference.
(April 1–20)
Our team reviews all nominations and selects one recipient based on demonstrated need, potential impact, and overall story.
(April 21–25)
Our licensed electricians complete the approved electrical work at no cost to the selected neighbor. We capture the transformation and share their story to inspire our community.
(Project completed April 28–May 9 | Story shared May 15)
• Only individuals or family households are eligible (organizations are not eligible for this campaign).
• Nominees must reside within Coharbor Electric’s service area in Southwest Florida.
• All nominations must be submitted through Coharbor Electric’s official form or platforms.
• Coharbor Electric will review all submissions and select one recipient. Not all nominations will be chosen.
• The scope of donated services will be determined solely by Coharbor Electric based on safety, feasibility, and available resources.
• The selected recipient must agree to reasonable documentation (photo and/or video) for storytelling and promotional purposes.
• By participating, nominees agree that Coharbor Electric may use their name, likeness, and submitted story for marketing and promotional purposes.
• Coharbor Electric may modify, pause, or cancel the campaign at any time. All decisions by Coharbor Electric are final.
• The Coharbor Cares General Terms & Conditions also apply and remain in full effect.
