Every April, Coharbor Cares focuses on the people right next door — the neighbors, families, and quiet heroes who could use a little extra light in their lives. If you know someone facing a tough season, a safety issue at home, or who’s always serving others, we’d love to hear their story.
Neighbors Who Shine is the April campaign of our year-round Coharbor Cares program.
Once a year, we select one local neighbor or family in Southwest Florida to receive free electrical services or safety upgrades — things like panel repairs, lighting, or essential fixes that can truly change how they live day to day.
The Coharbor Cares Bracket Challenge is our annual community tournament designed to spotlight organizations making a real impact in Southwest Florida.
Through public nominations and open voting, 16 local nonprofits, businesses, and charities compete head-to-head for a $1,000 donated service award from Coharbor Electric. Each weekly voting round determines who advances until one champion remains.
This campaign brings our community together, raises awareness for important local causes, and gives Southwest Florida residents a chance to support organizations they care about — one vote at a time.
Share a neighbor’s story through our simple form below between April 1–12.
Our team reviews every nomination and selects one recipient based on need, safety, and impact.
We complete the electrical project in April and share their story (with permission) to inspire others.
