Full or partial rewiring is expensive enough that the “worth it” question matters a lot here. If your home has active aluminum wiring from the 1965–1973 era, or wiring that’s genuinely brittle and failing, a rewire is a safety-first investment that also tends to show up favorably in resale and insurance conversations. But we won’t push a full rewire on a home that just needs a partial fix — that’s not “worth it,” that’s overselling a bigger invoice than the house needs.

EV Chargers and Smart Panels — Lifestyle Value, Not Universal

These are the upgrades where “worth it” depends entirely on the homeowner, not the house. An EV charger circuit is a smart investment if you drive an EV or plan to soon — installing one on spec doesn’t add much. For a full-time resident who won’t check an app, it’s more comfort than necessity.
